Headset Battery Replacement

Today I received my replacement battery for my Sennheiser | EPOS GSP 670s

They are a wireless headset geared towards the gamer demographic, and boasts the same quality as other Sennheiser equipment.

I've had the headset for about 3 years now, and the battery life was not the greatest — although I didn't take extra care into handling the battery throughout its life.

I will be monitoring the charge life for the next few cycles - I have high hopes for the non-OEM battery replacement.

A New Start

First Blog Post           This is my first blog post. Not very exciting. Just testing out what things look like. I will be posting my journey of learning IT topics.      Currently learning:  Cisco Certified Network Associate Python3 Linux (currently using CentOS 7) SQL            I will be trying to get better at writing as well and hopefully create much better blog posts in the future. I am going to document my journey on topics to help solidify them, as if I were teaching them myself.            Hopefully I will be able to get my CCNA certificate and start pursuing other certifications in the near future. Stretch goals include CompTIA certs (sec+, Linux+, etc.), AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, and more. Since I'm on the Cisco track, I will also pursue CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional). Eventually leading into Security tracks and possible ethic...

Board Replacement of July

Was servicing an ASUS Strix Scar II GL504G laptop. The initial board needed replacement because of a previous service that was intended for a reapplication of thermal compound for the CPU and GPU, ended up with an unfortunate result. During the initial tear down of the unit, I was going to disconnect the battery when the locking mechanism flew out with minimal force and made contact with the resistors/capacitors closest to the battery - shorting that section of the board. This most recent service was a surprising one - I had ordered a replacement board online and they ended up giving me a different sub-model of the same model family. Originally it had a GTX 1070 Graphics chip and the motherboard I received has a RTX 2070.  I applied Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut Liquid metal thermal compound to the CPU die and I used MX-4 Arctic Thermal compound for the GPU. To replace the thermal compound on the VRM, VRAM, and other components covered by the heat pipes, I used K5-Pro thermal pad co...
